Pontiac's 1980 Trans Am marked the first turbocharged Firebird, and the engineering shows: the 301's hood bulge sits off to one side to clear the plumbing beneath it. The car paced the Indianapolis 500 that year, and Pontiac built 5,700 commemorative editions to mark the occasion.
