Ford's SVT team bolted Ford GT-derived aluminum four-valve heads onto a cast-iron 5.4 block to build the GT500's supercharged V8. Each one was hand-assembled at Romeo and wore a placard signed by the person who put it together. Ford built 9,567 GT500s for 2008.
